I would be surprised if TAO really worked with DVD.

> wodim -msinfo dev=/dev/dvd  >>>  0,0

That shouldn't happen. What does "-toc" tell you about this medium? Just
guessing, maybe you have a broken drive: does ejecting and reloading the
disk display different results?
