Hi,
Are you folks so hard core that your source code IS your documentation?

I am trying to find out how DOS finds the "Volume Serial Number" on a 
DVD. It is apparently impossible to find it in Linux. The best and 
brightest on LinuxQuestions.org pointed me here.

c:\> dir e:
Volume in drive E is 20090127a
Volume Serial Number is 7D8B-C1C3

I am looking for the "7D8B-C1C3"

The first 1000 Google hits are nothing but release news and bug reports. 
Ubuntu has never heard of you (at least not in Synaptic).

Is there any API documentation?
