What about an initrd kernel ? or even an initramfs one ? I suppose that you
can build a coldfire kernel with builtin ramdisk and load that per tftp ?

(BTW, i am not home right now, but caring for my sick mother in el salvador,
but can someone give me the link to where to download the kernel stuff, and i
will have a look at the possibilities, and if there are patches, try to port
them to latest 2.6.15/2.6.16-rc).
