Eh, what's the problem? Debian is about free software and also adheres
to free infromation, not to writing conspiring advices to lists
without giving the reasons.

I and probably most others on the list would be happy if you give
reasons for you advice and then decide ourself if we still want to
install or not, especially since many of us are running 2.6.26 from
Sid and it didn't have that many and especially no non-workaroundable
problems.

I just remember some AC adapter thingy which doesn't happen on all
machines and the ath5k vs madwifi story. (I have 2.6.26 from Sid
running on my Lenny machine since about two weeks and apart from that
that ath5k didn't work out of the box (no WLANs found) and that I
compiled madwifi with m-a because of that, it works like a charm.)

Again: On _what_ issue?

This sentence is not true, since you're talking about 2.6.26 in Lenny
while it is in Sid since a while and nobody warned about Sid.
Additionally, it isn't true either if you plan to install Debian Etch
or Debian GNU/kFreeBSD on the EeePC. So you at least should have
narrowed this statement down to Debian Lenny, but you shouldn't claim
it's valid for Debian in general.

P.S.: Capslock in subjects (and in general) is also not really a good
      idea on Debian lists.
