I think it would be premature to focus on it right away.  We need the
peace and quiet of mostly dealing with people willing to jump right in
and install Debian on their Eees.  I know from a lot of experience
working with the debian-live team and using the tool for my project,
Debian Jr. that we will divert a lot of energy from our current efforts
if we shift focus to a live CD / disk image, not to mention attracting
a whole new class of users our little project is not yet ready to deal
with.

However, it has always been my intention to make a combination live
CD / installer image that could fit on, say, a 1G USB key.  I will
enter that on our Todo list.

That's an interesting possibility.  It is quite likely that by the
summer we'd be in a better position to absorb users attracted by a live
image.  If the live CD/image is not done by then, it might be something
they could do.  On the other hand, if we make progress rapidly, they
might not have much left to do on that by the time the summer rolls
around.
