I've tested Linux kernel 2.6.29 backport from undebian.org and from
www.backports.org with my system/environment : they both have the same
problem, resuming from suspend-to-ram gives a black screen with arrow
cursor (movable) and no keyboard input possible.

 I've found some similar reports, like :
