eeepc-acpi-scripts doesn't do any idle dimming; actually, it doesn't
touch brightness at all.
Idle dimming is usually done by the desktop environment power manager,
so you should reassign the bug report according to which one you use
(e.g. gnome-power-manager or xfce4-power-manager).
I figure this could be due to the fact that the kernel doesn't
synthesize XF86Brightness[Up|Down] events, but it's just a wild guess.
