I really appreciate this project's work.  It enebled me to go ahead and 
buy my ASUS 1000HE eeepc, hearing that its hardware was completely Debian-
compatible (I believe it was the first to be fully supported by free 
software.

One of the useful things this community can still do now that most active
development seems to be behind it is to maintain a list of which eeepc's 
are truly compatible, as mine was.  Sort it by model number for easy 
reference, but also by date so a prospective buyer could concentrate on 
the ones likely still to be in stores.  This would of course require 
cooperation from users, who would have to be encouraged to post their 
stories.  Or is this already being carried out somewhere that I'm not 
aware of?
