The only thing new in ver 0.7.1 is the bindings, and they are very cute :)

see a python gui for hocr made with python and glade:

python is a very fun programing language,
removing the bindings takes away a lot of the fun.

for example: with this bindings and glade a newbie with no C experience can
make a workable ocr gui in 10 minuets and one small script file :)
