so here i am again, sweating away in the midwest, living in a former
swamp.  plane trip and most everything went alright, other than
confiscating my orange and papayas.

planning on going to visit grandma "up north" this weekend.  egads, got
all sorts of freinds and family to visit.

probably ought to get an alioth account, to keep hacking away at the svn
repository, eh?

currently in the process of conspiring to get debian onto my mother's
computer. we'll see how that goes.
