Announcing the OASIS Symposium Second Call For Presentations

OASIS Technical Advisory Board is seeking presentations from experts on
XML-based messaging and networking standards for a two-day OASIS Symposium
on Reliable Infrastructures for XML. The forum will also provide
opportunities for IT leaders to exchange and coordinate work, promote
interoperability and identify new areas for development.
Submissions are due by 9 February.

OASIS UDDI TC Elects New Co-Chair

Tony Rogers, Computer Associates, was elected as the new co-chair of the
OASIS UDDI Specification TC. He replaces Luc Clement who continues with the
TC in the role of Secretary. Tom Bellwood, IBM, continues as the TC's other
co-chair.

XRI Data Interchange (XDI) TC Forms at OASIS

The OASIS XDI TC will extend the work of the OASIS XRI TC by defining a
generalized independent service for sharing, linking, and synchronizing data
over the Internet and other data networks using XML documents and XRIs
(Extensible Resource Identifiers). The first OASIS XDI TC meeting will be
held on the 20 February at 2pm PT (GMT-8:00).

OASIS ebXML Messaging Services TC Produces Version 3 White Paper

The OASIS ebXML Messaging Services TC has produced a messaging service 3.x
white
paper which outlines the proposed development of the features to be included
in version 3 of the OASIS Messaging Service specification. The TC invites
comments from any interested parties until 1 March as the TC proposes to
complete the scope of version 3 by March 1, 2004.

ebXML Registry Specifications Now Available in French

The Secrétariat du Conseil du trésor du Québec has translated ebXML Registry
Information Model v2.1 and ebXML Registry Services Specification v2.1 into
French as a service to the community. OASIS gratefully acknowledges the
Secrétariat for its contributions to the widespread adoption of
international standards.
