OASIS WSRP Interoperability Demo at Delphi Enterprise On-Demand Conference

On 31 March 2004, BEA, Citrix, Gluecode, IBM, Oracle, Plumtree and others
will showcase the WSRP OASIS Standard to
aggregate content from disparate sources. BEA, IBM, Oracle, and Plumtree
provided test implementations of a WSRP
Consumer within their portal servers. The demo shows content from portlets
running on five different platforms,
four that are J2EE based and one that is .NET based, being aggregated and
interacted with in a manner equal to that of locally hosted portlets. This
demonstrates how portlets will be reused on other portals via WSRP rather
than requiring each portal deployment to separately install the complete set
of portlets. WSRP maximizes both control and availability for the portlet
hosting site while minimizing costs for the remote portal sites.
