I like your reasoning. However, the very words "command line interface"
somehow tend to imply "utility" to me. How shall we resolve this? If
`apt-get' is an application, then are `more' and `ls' also applications?
By a strictly logical definition, `more' is an application because it is
interactive (if stdio is considered "interactive"), while `ls' is an
application because it is not normally used in a processing chain (one
uses `find' in the chain, not `ls'). However, this definition does not
seem right. `less' is an application; `more' is a utility. `mc' is an
application; `ls' is a utility.
Can we not draw the line between aptitude (application) and apt-get
(utility)?
