To reduce the amount of effort wasted on arguing individual cases.
Though of course that's a false economy if instead we end up
spending the same amount of effort on meta-arguments...

The problem with overpopulated facets is that they make it harder
for users to find suite::gnome in amongst the small-fry, and harder
to get all the appropriate packages tagged.

Ah, okay. Forget abiword, then. But how about:
 suite::adduser
 suite::alsa and/or ::alsaplayer
 suite::amarok
 suite::aolserver
 suite::apt
 suite::asterisk (this one's familiar)
 suite::atlas
 suite::auto(make, etc)
 suite::axiom

If there are this many candidates for the rest of the alphabet, we're
looking at an awful lot of potential suite:: tags. A cut-off of two
dozen or so keeps things more manageable.
