I read through all the emails you sent and the project still appeals to me,
though it's a little different than I had first thought (but in a good way).
Given the lateness I'm concerned about putting a lot of time into a rushed
application that has little hope of being accepted. So, I'm still wondering a
couple of things:

With the experience you had with the project, I assume you still think it's a
good idea (otherwise you wouldn't have responded)?

Are you willing to mentor it again? Or, if you're busy, do you know somebody
willing to mentor it?

If you still think the idea will work and you (or at least someone) is willing
to mentor, then I'd be happy to write up a quick proposal before the deadline
(5pm PST on Monday). Either way, let me know what you think, and thanks for
getting back to me.
