It’s not a debuild option, but a dpkg-buildpackage one (they are
documented as explicitly accepted in the SYNOPSIS section:
	debuild [debuild options] [dpkg-buildpackage options] …)

Not sure debuild tries to understand options it passes to
dpkg-buildpackage(1) that is already explicitly part of the SEE ALSO
section.

I don’t believe it would be a good idea to maintain in devscripts
documentation of dpkg options, that may quickly be outdated, inaccurate
and non-exhaustive.
