More info on this, I have tried to byte compile flyspell.el from
emacs19, emacs20 and emacs21. These are the results:

**** emacs19 (failed):

Compiling file /home/agmartin/basura/dict-common/lisp/flyspell.el at Thu
Jul 11 18:01:10 2002
!! File error (("Searching for program" "no such file or directory"
"ispell"))

**** emacs20 (failed):

Compiling file /home/agmartin/basura/dict-common/lisp/flyspell.el at Thu
Jul 11 18:00:50 2002
!! File error (("Searching for program" "no such file or directory"
"ispell"))

**** emacs21 (sucess)

Compiling file /home/agmartin/basura/dict-common/lisp/flyspell.el at Thu
Jul 11 18:02:02 2002
** The following functions are not known to be defined: texmathp,
     display-message

Besides that, I have no idea about what changed between emacs20 and
emacs21 and how to deal with that.
