+Secure APT Key Management. Andreas Barth summarized[1] the discussion
+about key management for apt from July[2]. The general idea is to have
+an offline key for signing stable releases per release and a yearly
+rotating key for unstable. Stable release keys will be revoked by
+stable+2, so updates between stable releases still work with the old
+key.
