Hmm, I'm sure I checked it was blocked, but you're right it isn't.  I
guess I must have misread 588140 as 515850.  It was getting late when
I wrote that mail...

Anyway, thanks for pointing out my error.

I just meant that we need a genuine reason to reenable mediactrl (not
because some prebuilt version of wxruby needs its symbols defined, and
not because someone or something hypothetically might use it).  I wasn't
passing comment on dvdstyler (I've never looked at it).

I had a quick look at the patch, which looks plausible.  There's no
need to patch debian/control though, as that's a generated file.

I guess as Julian suggests, we should have a separate -dev package for
this too.

With this split, does wxpython now need the mediactrl package installed?
If so, it would be good if we could work out a way to avoid that.
