I was thinking about this recently. A website with a bit more
information than what the d.o page offers might be a good idea.
I've been meaning to put something together and commit it to svn, but
I've been to lazy/busy lately.
As it is now, if someone wants to find information on GNU/kFreeBSD, all
they really have to go by is the brief d.o port page, the install guide
and anything lying around in svn's web/.
It'd be nice to have a small, simple, central site that's not
necessarily an official Debian page. The following should be more than
enough:
- a front page with some basic information, some news items etc.
- a good FAQ (something I've been meaning to start for a long time)
- the current install docs
- some info on livecd downloads, repo locations and settings etc.
- developer/porting info
Alot of content could be based on small snippets of information that
dwell in web/. (like porting, goals, todo etc.)
I suppose I should shut up and get to work on all these fantastic ideas
now ;)
