Our glibc is version 2.3, I don't see why we have to cheat on the 
version number, IMHO that could only cause problems. Actually there is 
only 3 packages with have problem with that, gcc-{3.4,4.0,4.1}, so I 
really doubt it is necessary to cheat with our glibc version.
