- gtk 2.4 or later (required, was: gtk 2.0 or later)
	 http://packages.debian.org/libgtk2.0-0 -> testing: 2.6.4

- alsa 1.0 (optional, new)
	 http://packages.debian.org/alsa-base -> testing: 1.0.8

- dbus 0.31 or later (optional, new)
	 http://packages.debian.org/dbus-1 -> testing: 0.23.4

this is the latest release with the old API (see
http://www.freedesktop.org/Software/dbus ) . Thus it seems that debian
relies on this API. When you release balto I will investigate a bit and
contact the dbus maintainer.
