The woody version of mktemp does support the '-p' option. I'm running
the newer version of logcheck on woody systems at work with just a
private version of run-parts from unstable.

The following is the output from mktemp on a woody system.

jjm at foo:jjm$ mktemp --help
mktemp: invalid option -- -
Usage: mktemp [-dqtu] [-p prefix] [template]
