Correct, you are not able to test it because your account on the site is
already associated to your Single Sign-On username.

The claim interface is used to fix the situation when after one is
logged in with the Single Sign-On, nm.debian.org does not show the name
in the top right, but shows something like
"<name>-guest at users.alioth.debian.org not known to this site yet"
