I, as well, don't see why not.

The reason I haven't uploaded to Sid is that we still don't have a
version that works on *all* Debian ports. We had kFreeBSD working, but
the latest Hurd patch broke it. And I had some segfaults in kFreeBSD
with the current Git version which needs to be investigated.

Also, I currently prefer to wait for the upstream 0.13 release, instead
of the arbitrary git commit which we currently package.

Though, with a bit of time, all of the above problems will be fixed, and
then it will make sense to upload to Sid.
