Isn't anyone who contributes a significant body of code supposed to
sign the assignment papers? Can the contributor herself start the
process by sending the request for the papers to
assign_AT_gnu_DOT_org, or it the maintainer has to initiate it?

Do I also need to sign the assignment papers?
