[Pgi-devel] Python version

I'm currently trying to build using the debain unstable package.
Unfortunately it depends on python 2.1. Unfortunately python-gtk depends
on < python 2.2, other pgi depends (python-glade, python-gdk-imlib,
python-gnome) break this.

I changed a pile of makefiles and shell code to try and get it working
w/ 2.3 but it's missing files. (no surprise there.)

Anyone have any work-arounds for this aside from breaking my Deb w/
source packages?
