Hello,
thanks to Raphael [CC'ed], the current TODO list for ACE packages is :
* Integrate Raphael changes for reactor separation.
* Change ace-config and tao-config so that they return proper flags for
GUI reactors ?
* Write/generate man pages.
* Report upstream and remove those config.* files from the tarball.
* Package ciao-dance.
* Make a static library for the Linux 2.6 specific Dev_Poll_Reactor ?
* Package cidlc ?
Am I forgetting something ?
Not all items have the same priority. As Konstantinos already said, it
is probably simpler to delay cidlc package since they depend on
unpackaged libraries.
I will have a look at man pages this week-end.
The DOC bug#1915 was fixed upstream, I've made 2 patches (available from
http://thomas.g.girard.free.fr/ace/patches/) that:
1. [revert-mpc-to-upstream.diff] Revert my initial patch
`mpc-honour-libout.diff', keeping the Debian Changelog part.
2. [mpc-honour-libout-fix.diff] Use upstream fix.
The `series' file has been modified accordingly.
Konstantinos, can you please let me know which patches have already been
integrated into your tree ? I could then fold some patches.
Three remaining questions :
1. [ACE_DEBUG-signals-symbolic-names.diff] I think unconditionaly
enabling %S for ACE_DEBUG is questionable. This might cause problems
with GNU Debian/Hurd and Debian/kFreeBSD. Comments ?
2. [add-magic-perl.diff] Lintian says 'shell-script-fails-syntax-check'
on all modified .pl files. How can we solve that ?
3. [mpc-license-fix.diff]: the MPC license is *different* from the ACE
license. Note that MPC is a standalone tool, it has its own version (and
CVS repo). But sticking to the version distributed with ACE is simpler
IMHO. Ideas ?
Thanks,
Thomas.
