Hi,

  Thanks. I am already  subscriber of ace-devel for several years and
know the issues you mentioned. Good to hear about giving up with
autotools, they are neither mature enough nor  even necessary in this
context.

  Currently, I have the package is compiling, building and installing.
Nevertheless, it is still useless due to the bug related with make
install (many files are not installed) which probably requires
upstream fix. When I recognize this issue in more details I fix it if
my ACE account is still active or switch to MPC generation if the
problem originates from autotools. I commit my changes soon.
