Hello,

to followup on the plan:

Complete. Now package and binary names are on par with RPMs for the
subset available in RPM.

The discussion on binary names, and whether or not to distribute such
and such binaries, should be revived.

Done.

Not done yet.

Distributed along with mpc-ace for now. Extra files removed.

Done.

TBD, along with tests to check if the package can be used to build
something relying on ACE.

>> 8 Test migration from existing 5.6.3 packages.

Basic check performed.

I've made another pass on the huge doxygen generated to reduce it
further. Now size is back to what it was in 5.6.3-5.

I believe packages are almost ready for upload; they need a little
testing before.

Any volunteer?

Thomas
