I explained in the previous email I just sent, but OnionShare doesn't
support using a system tor (except in the case of Tails, where that's
the only tor available), and instead it requires that you use Tor
Browser in the background.

So I never implemented support for controlport passwords because that's
not needed with Tor Browser. Hopefully in the future OnionShare can work
with a system tor [1], but not yet.
