Could you reproduce it under Fluxbox?

I am still able to reproduce it, after applying the following (manually
adjusted) patches to version 2.1-1:

Since the above patches fix bug #516592, but not the present one
(#544112), I would say that the two bugs are not the same.
Maybe they are somewhat related, but not the same.
