It's in reasonable shape except debian/rules clean leaves a lot of cruft
and changed files in the tree.

I'd send a patch, but the horribleness of cdbs + debian source format v3
means what should be a simple couple of commands run in the rules file
to clean that up seems to instead be a major engineering task.
