I think it won't prevent filing (renaming the RFP) the ITP at the moment
anyway.

I just added a disclaimer to README.Debian for 1.0.7, btw. I guess it's
safer like that, since it's in svn.debian.org and ready for packaging.
Feel free to improve it.

Also I checked upstream's trunk in SVN, and the license exception are in
place, ready for 1.0.8... so we won't have long to wait, I think.
