It might be fixed in newer version, right now I can't reproduce this using
cinnamon 3.0.7. Sadly I can't test this in jessie at the moment, I'll give it
a try afterwards.

Was the Toggle Expo shortcut set to unassigned when doing this?
Was the shortcut conflict detected?
