[Pkg-cups-devel] Rearranging cups VCS

Hi fellow cups maintainers,

The time has come to split the VCS into several branches again, one
'trunk' (for what is currently in experimental), and one 'lenny'
branch, where RC bug fixes are cherrypicked (and which will be perused
for post-release updates as well.

Since SVN essentially doesn't support branches and has a number of
other shortcomings, I'd really like to switch to a distributed VCS.

Would anyone mind if I converted the SVN repo to a bzr branch and fork
off a lenny branch off that? Since bzr.debian.org doesn't offer any
infrastructure for browsing, I'd like to put it on launchpad.net, so
that we can use its loggerhead installation for browsing the branch
(like [1]).

Any comments, objections, or suggestions?

Thanks,

Martin
