No objections to the switch to a distributed VCS generally, or bzr 
specifically.

But I suspect that using launchpad might be controversial, for two reasons:

  - Until it's open-sourced, it becomes "closed infrastructure criticial 
to Debian", which is never well received.

  - Debian people in competition with Ubuntu/Canonical may have issues, 
perceived or real, with relying on a competitor for this sort of thing.

It might make a difference if anyone actually objected on the above 
grounds (and, for the record, I'm not).  Using a distributed VCS takes a 
lot of the sting out of those objections.

As a fallback, how difficult would it be to get loggerhead working on 
bzr.debian.org?  I'm told the new loggerhead is a lot less 
resource-intensive and difficult to get running than the old.
