[Pkg-cups-devel] cups development moved to bzr, *stop* using the svn branch

Hello cups developers,

as discussed recently I asked for pkg-cups on bzr.debian.org, which
was just created:

	http://bzr.debian.org/pkg-cups/

So I put my bzr imports of the svn into it, as well as the lenny
branch which I created recently (yay! finally sane branches!). I
created a "cups" subdirectory, just in case we'll get other printing
related packages maintained there.

So please throw away your subversion working tree and check out (or
branch from) those:

  bzr checkout http://bzr.debian.org/pkg-cups/cups/debian-trunk/
  bzr checkout http://bzr.debian.org/pkg-cups/cups/lenny

Use "get" instead of "checkout" if a commit shouldn't immediately be
pushed to bzr.debian.org, but just be applied locally. In that case
you have to run "push" every now and then (that's how I work, since
commit is awfully fast then). You can switch between both modes with
"bzr bind" and "bzr unbind" FYI. http://bazaar-vcs.org/Documentation
has more documentation, but in general bzr is pretty easy and
straightforward to use, so you shouldn't have problems.

http://bzr.debian.org is ok for hosting and branching, but doesn't
have any UI, so I mirror the branches on launchpad:

  https://code.launchpad.net/~pitti/cups/debian-trunk
  https://code.launchpad.net/~pitti/cups/debian-lenny

There you can also subscribe to the branch in order to get commit
emails, etc. With the LP import we can also use loggerhead for
browsing files and changesets:

  http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~pitti/cups/debian-trunk
  http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~pitti/cups/debian-lenny

I updated the Vcs-* tags in both branches accordingly.

Please let me know about any questions or suggestions you have.

Thanks,

Martin
