I see, well, that's a bug which should be sent upstream. At the moment
then it makes little difference as you say. When/if upstream have a
valid dbus implementation though, there should also be a policy file
which allows it.

The reason for filing the bug in the first place is that this is a
change in behaviour caused in the process of fixing a security issue.
