Curious Subversion version numbering

That likely is a result of rolling back many of the changes done from -8
to -9. With -9, we had a major problem with murder (separate backend/s)
setups, so we undid a patch we tracked down to be the cause. The changed
copyright (and probably some other files, too) Id is likely to be caused
by that, though I currently don't have the time to do more extensive checks.
