Well, give me confirmation that I can scrap every change outside of debian/
in the 2.3 branch, and I will have one based on the upstream tarball +
separate patch with anything already in CVS by the end of the next week...

But that won't help with the 2.3 migration to unstable, the upgrade path is
still missing, and help with that would be very, very welcome.
