Again, you are correct.  I'll fix this.

You are incorrect.  To have them coexist one would need to change
filenames or keep files in versioned directories.  Neither is desirable.

This is what you will need to do.  It's reasonable right now for
programs to build-depend on 4.2, though I would encourage ones using 4.1
to switch.
