Umm,  I didn't explain it very well and in general I'm probably just
being stupid.  My concern was that somehow we might email an author
at the same time, which may not be a bad thing anyway :).

However, I was also thinking about bugs like 125918 which wants us to
make a new package in xml format (is that right?), or 53520 which wants
us to create a directory for non-english HOWTOs.  Now, you guys could
probably set these up in a flash but, for me it could take, well, a few
flashes, at least :).

So, I guess with the email to the authors I shouldn't be concerned?
But, with the larger tasks shouldn't we email the list saying:
"I'm starting to work on bug 125918, any comments or suggestions are
welcome", or something?
