When I've accepted a meeting invite, I can't edit most of the information
in the calendar entry.
I understand that since I'm not the organizer, I can't change a lot of
stuff about the real meeting. But it's my calendar. If I want to add
a note for my own reference, why can't I? If the organizer tells me the
location of the meeting in IRC, how come I can't change the "TBD" to the
real meeting location? I understand that my changes may get blown away
if the organizer updates it. So be it. (If we were really smart, we
could diff/merge my changes, but that would be an enhancement request.)
It has been this way for a long time. I suspect it's been discussed on
the mailing list before. As a user, it still stinks. I'm getting to
the point that I don't accept any invites because it keeps me from
managing my own calendar. Not much of a productivity tool when I have
to enter all my meetings by hand.
If it matters, these meeting requests that I can't edit normally come
from people using MS Outlook. Sorry if that's the problem. I can't
control their behavior.
