oki doki -- I've updated the packaging and pushed 2 patches into master
branch as well:

 - absorbed my Debian patch for clean.
This one makes me worry since it might fail on OS X? I was using
'find' in it. I wonder if anyone could check?

 - tiny part of ubuntu patch within setup.py (this one should be ok)

debian packaging got few changes as well ;) it seems to be
functional/lintian clean etc.

I've built tentative package and uploaded into my repository if anyone
decides to try it on i386:

http://itanix.rutgers.edu/rumba/dists/sid/perspect/source/science/pyepl_1.1.0-1~pre1.dsc
http://itanix.rutgers.edu/rumba/dists/sid/perspect/binary-all/science/python-pyepl-common_1.1.0-1~pre1_all.deb
http://itanix.rutgers.edu/rumba/dists/sid/perspect/binary-i386/science/python-pyepl_1.1.0-1~pre1_i386.deb

Per, if you ok those 2 commits in master (or tune them up), may be it
might make sense to shift the release 2 steps ahead and retag? ;)

after we are settled on that I will be ready to upload into Debian ;)
