[pkg-fetchmail-maint] Bug#703738: fetchmail: Dot at 1st column of any line cuts delivered message

Hallo,
  I've checked differences between downloaded email using telnet and found a difference.

Cutted email contains body (I add | to the start odf line:

|Sample message. This message wil be partially delivered.
|Cut point is here:
|.
|This part of message will never be delivered by fetchmail

Delivered email contains:

|Sample message. This message wil be partially delivered.
|Cut point is here:
|..
|This part of message will never be delivered by fetchmail

i.e. delivered emails contain double dot at line instead of single dot. Who is responsible for this behavior? Mail client, mailserver, fetchmail or sendmail? I think that simple patch in fetchmail can solve problem, because it can detect line with single dot at its start and it can replace it before sending it to fetchmail by double dot line. Am I right?
