Yes.

Syncs usually get done within hours, but this isn't guaranteed, and I 
don't know if an Alioth pull will be as quick.

Agreed: do flightgear-data next, then if upstream still haven't updated 
the tarballs, take whichever version is easier and call it whatever you 
think appropriate.
