Hi all,
I'm on Debian testing. I tried to install gnash and was unable to do so :-

$ sudo aptitude install gnash
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  gnash gnash-common{a} gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg{ab}
0 packages upgraded, 3 newly installed, 0 to remove and 2 not upgraded.
Need to get 2,111 kB of archives. After unpacking 9,183 kB will be used.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg : Depends: libavcodec53 (>= 5:0.8-2~) which is a
virtual package. or
                                 libavcodec-extra-53 (>= 5:0.8-2~)
which is a virtual package.
                        Depends: libavformat53 (>= 5:0.8-2~) which is
a virtual package.
                        Depends: libavutil51 (>= 5:0.8-2~) which is a
virtual package.
The following actions will resolve these dependencies:

     Keep the following packages at their current version:
1)     gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg [Not Installed]

     Leave the following dependencies unresolved:
2)     gnash-common recommends gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg

Accept this solution? [Y/n/q/?] q
Abandoning all efforts to resolve these dependencies.
Abort.

As can be seen most of the packages which it depends upon are virtual
packages. None of the libav packages are in Debian testing anymore.

Due to dependencies not available in Debian testing gnash is not installable.

In fact via #739079 it seems all of libav packages would be
incremented by one, see the PTS of libav.
http://packages.qa.debian.org/liba/libav.html . Right now it is at
6:9.11-3, soon the library would need to be upgraded to 6:10-2

Look forward to a version which works with libav.

Till l8er.
