I, for myself, always check http://wiki.debian.org/Alioth/Git :-)

The only difference is that you should set call `umask 002` before
starting.

This last call is OK if the package is not yet uploaded to main.  As
soon as it will, we should send every commits to the package_cvs address
as well:

  $ git config --add hooks.bcc "$PACKAGE_cvs at packages.qa.debian.org"

I would really like an upstream (i.e. Alioth and official) tool to
manage all these steps, but AFAIK it does not exist yet.
