as you probably have heard before, Debian requires following quit a
bunch of guidelines and common procedures, some not well documented.
Therefore, new packages, especially from new maintainers, are usually
reviewed first, and ususally takes a few round-trips until they are in
shape.
Please put your Debian source package (.dsc, .diff.gz and .orig.tar.gz)
somewhere. If you don’t have any webspace convenient, you can use the
infrastructure provided by http://mentors.debian.net/.
